What to expect

Every season of growth begins with a single step.

This section is designed to give you a clear picture of what the process of getting started in therapy looks like, helping you feel comfortable and prepared as you begin your journey toward healing and self-discovery.

Here’s what you can expect as you begin your journey with us..

— Step 1:

Free 15 Minute Consultation

The first step in your journey with Growth Era Counseling & Wellness is a complimentary 15-minute consultation. This call is a safe and easy way to connect, explore what’s bringing you to therapy, and ensure that your therapists approach aligns with your goals. There’s no commitment — just an open conversation to help you feel informed and at ease before taking the next step!

— Step 2:

Scheduling and paperwork

After our consultation, you’ll be invited to our secure client portal, SimplePractice, to complete your intake paperwork. This includes consent forms and a few short questionnaires about your background and current concerns. Everything you share is private and confidential — it simply helps your therapist get to know you a bit better so they can make your first session as meaningful and productive as possible.

— Step 3:

The first session

In your first session, you and your therapist will take time to talk more about what led you to therapy. You can share your story, your goals, and anything else that feels important. There’s no rush and no pressure — this space is entirely for you. By the end of the session, you’ll have a strong foundation for the work you’ll do together.

— Step 4:

Ongoing therapy

As therapy continues, you’ll meet with your therapist on a regular basis to deepen your understanding of yourself and support your ongoing growth. Each session is a space for reflection, healing, and connection! Your therapist will collaborate with you throughout the process, checking in regularly to ensure your work together stays aligned with your goals and evolving needs.
